Frustration on Foot: Analyzing Pedestrian Accessibility to Bus Stops in Boston

One approach to increase transit accessibility and service quality is to improve pedestrian accessibility to bus stops. This project aimed to identify MBTA bus stops in Boston, MA that have low pedestrian accessibility as measured by the ratio of the sidewalk network distance and the straight-line distance in relation locations in a 150-meter radius from the bus stop. Completed for 11.S944 – Applied Urban Analytics.
